Three Yards, Three Answers.
The Lawn That Left
A Louisville ranch with 2,400 square feet of thirsty bluegrass out front. We kept a small play lawn in back and replaced the front with native grasses, boulders from a quarry in Lyons and a flagstone path to the door. Water use dropped by 60% the first summer, and the neighbors started asking who did it.
A Backyard For October
The owners wanted somewhere to sit outside in the shoulder seasons. A sunken flagstone patio with a gas fire pit, a low seat wall for overflow, and plantings chosen for fall color: sumac, bluestem, serviceberry. The heat from the pit keeps the space usable into November.
The Slope Nobody Used
A steep side yard in Superior that was eroding into the walkway. Terraced with dry-stacked stone, planted with deep-rooted natives to hold the soil, and irrigated by zone so the top and bottom get what they actually need. Now it's the view from the kitchen.

Site consultation
Ninety minutes on your property. Sun, soil, drainage, what you love, what you're tired of looking at. $150, credited to the design.
Design & plant plan
A scaled plan with materials, a plant list you can look up, and a fixed build price. Two rounds of revisions included.
Build by the same team
The designer is on site through the build. No handoff, no "that's not what the drawing meant."
